Planer

This is a day without a preset plan. We can focus on one place, combine several towns or follow a specific theme. The route is shaped entirely around what you want to see – Nice, the coast, the hills or less obvious locations away from the main routes.

If you represent a company or are organizing travel for a larger group and need structured logistics, group handling, and on-site coordination, the appropriate option is Tour: Groups & Companies.

This is a tour with no fixed route. The starting point is always the same: the idea of spending a full day with a guide, exclusively, in a way that fits a specific story, occasion, or simply your mood.

It can be a relaxed day entirely in Nice, a full day in Cannes, a family history trip around Menton, a classic combination of places such as Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Èze, and Monaco, a coastal route as far as Saint-Tropez, a section of the Italian Riviera near San Remo, or a completely different idea. A slower, more “scenic” day is also possible—with longer stops, coffee breaks, photos, and short walks instead of intensive sightseeing.

One thing is constant: the day is designed specifically for you and your group, with no other participants and no rigid schedule typical of catalog tours.

A day exclusively for you works particularly well if:

  • you want to explore a specific town or several places connected to your family history,
  • you prefer a calm stay in one city without “checking off” multiple highlights,
  • you are traveling as a couple and want a private driver and guide,
  • you are organizing a small company outing or a team gift,
  • you want to combine different forms of travel: car, short walks, a train segment, viewpoints, and local cuisine.

It can be an intensive day moving from one attraction to another, or a very relaxed day with fewer stops, coffee, views, and time to follow your own rhythm.

It starts with a short exchange of information: what matters to you, what places you like, what you want to avoid, your budget, and your preferred pace.

This tour page includes a planner form that lets you enter all key details in one place: number of participants, dates, expected hours, places you already know, places you would like to see, preferred style of sightseeing, activity level, and any health-related considerations. Thanks to this:

  • there is no need for long email exchanges,
  • it is easier to propose a sensible route from the start,
  • an initial price estimate can be prepared faster,
  • you can clearly mark what is essential and what is optional.

Based on the planner, a preliminary day outline is created: a proposed route, order of places, approximate timings, and estimated distance.

A day exclusively for you can be arranged year-round, taking into account:

  • daylight length (shorter routes and fewer stops in winter),
  • traffic levels (during peak season some directions require earlier departures),
  • local events (festivals, markets, and major events in Nice, Cannes, or Monaco).

Departure and return times are set individually. The day can start at 7:00, 9:30, or later, depending on the chosen route, locations, and attraction availability.

What to bring depends on the chosen direction, but most often useful are:

  • comfortable shoes for city walks and short distances,
  • clothing appropriate for the weather (conditions differ between the coast and the mountains),
  • sun protection in spring and summer,
  • an ID document—especially for trips toward Italy or routes near the border,
  • a camera or phone with enough storage for photos.

Transport is provided in a Mercedes V-Class, a 7-seat van that works well for longer drives and city access.

Minimum participant age: 4 years.
The pace of the day is adapted to the group’s abilities, including older guests and families with children.

A day exclusively for you usually means:

  • around 8–11 hours together,
  • distances from about 150 km for nearby routes up to 350 km for longer trips (for example toward Saint-Tropez or the Verdon area).

It all depends on whether you choose:

  • one city with a relaxed pace,
  • several towns close to each other,
  • a longer scenic route with more driving.

These details are finalized during the offer preparation after the planner form is completed.

For a day exclusively for you, pricing is not calculated per person, but for the entire day:

  • a daily rate applies for the vehicle and guide,
  • the total amount can be divided among participants as the group decides,
  • for longer routes (for example deeper into Provence, the Verdon area, or long highway sections), the price may include additional driving, toll, and parking costs.

Included in the price:

  • transport and care of a driver-guide,
  • route planning based on the planner form,
  • unlimited water and small snacks in the vehicle.

Not included:

  • meals,
  • entrance tickets (museums, gardens, attractions),
  • optional additional services (local guides, tastings, boat trips).

All details are clearly described in the proposal you receive after submitting the form.

Schedule and flow of the day

Unlike the other tours, there is no universal timetable here. Each exclusive day has its own plan, built around a specific idea.

In simplified terms, the process usually looks like this:

  • we agree on approximate departure and return times,
  • we choose the main points of the day (for example one city plus 2–3 additional stops),
  • we add breaks for coffee, photos, lunch, and viewpoints,
  • we make sure the distance and pace are realistic and unhurried.

A detailed schedule (with timings, order of places, and notes) is created only after the initial proposal is accepted, so it fully reflects what was entered in the planner.

A day exclusively for you is an extension of everything offered in the other tours. Instead of choosing between predefined options like “Verdon Gorge,” “Film Locations,” or “Italian Riviera,” you can build your own version: combine themes, focus on one city, add a cycling element, or simply plan a day with fewer stops and more breathing space.

It can be a photography-focused day, a route centered on history and architecture, a tour of film locations, a trip following a specific artist, a light family-friendly experience, or even a single day as part of a longer stay planned with the help of the planner form.

This format also combines well with other elements of your stay: airport transfers, accommodation advice, cycling route suggestions, walking ideas, or visits to local vineyards and small towns rarely mentioned in standard guidebooks.

It is an option for travelers who prefer a day truly shaped around them rather than a ready-made “package,” while still benefiting from the experience of someone who knows the region from the inside.
